Let’s welcome the beauty of autumn with a special tea and wagashi experience. We will explore how the Japanese tea ceremony and seasonal sweets reflect the depth of this transitional season.
Ikuyo Kono, third-generation tea master, will prepare traditional Japanese tea for participants, and you will also have the opportunity for hands-on practice yourself. Kathy Matsunami, wagashi instructor, will guide you in creating nerikiri sweets inspired by the colors and motifs of autumn. Together, we will enjoy freshly prepared matcha paired with your handmade wagashi, all while taking in a garden view in the heart of the city. Participants will take home several of their own autumn-inspired nerikiri creations.
*Cancellations accepted until 2 days prior to the workshop
