Let’s welcome the beauty of autumn with a special wagashi experience. We will explore how the seasonal sweets reflect the depth of this transitional season.
Kathy Matsunami, wagashi instructor, will guide you in creating nerikiri sweets inspired by the colors and motifs of autumn. Together, we will enjoy Japanese tea paired with your handmade wagashi, all while taking in a garden view in the heart of the city. Participants will take home several of their own autumn-inspired nerikiri creations.

Kathy Matsunami is a long-time resident of Japan and currently teaches western desserts to Japanese students. She has also studied wagashi and would like to share this unique art with others to give a glimpse into this delicious Japanese confectionary.
