Some people may be surprised to hear the name “SCHRECK HOUSE.” But don’t be alarmed—this is the name of my family, who first arrived in Japan in 1920 and has been living here ever since. A vintage house in Hiroo stands as a reminder of the Schreck family’s deep connection with Japan.
To continue serving as a bridge between Japan and the rest of the world, we aim to share the richness of Japan through cultural activities. We hope this house will become a community center that fosters cross-cultural exchanges between Japanese people and foreigners living in Japan.
We offer events and workshops, including arts and crafts, cooking, tea ceremonies, and other gatherings centered around modern interpretations of Japanese cultural traditions.
Our core concept is: “Sharing and enjoying the beauty of WA.”
